A funeral director accused of putting a dead baby in a bouncer "watching cartoons" has said she was only "trying to help".
Amie Upton, 38, says her "“heart is broken” after a BBC investigation accused her of leaving a grieving mum "screaming" and "terrified" upon finding her dead child positioned in a baby bouncer with Ms Upton supposedly 'watching' cartoons alongside in the living room. The accusation also claimed there was another dead baby placed on a sofa nearby.
Another grieving mother, who had entrusted Amie with her stillborn baby, described the situation as 'really smelly' and likened it to a horror film when speaking to the BBC.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust has confirmed they have banned Amie, who operates Florrie's Army, from accessing their mortuaries and maternity wards
