ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Senator Jeremy Cooney announced today the 12 recipients of the "Reinvesting in Organizations that Care" (ROC) grants program in Rochester, aimed at supporting local organizations serving vulnerable populations.

The ROC grants program, which provides $1 million in state funding, was established in response to funding threats from the Trump administration. The program targets organizations that assist new Americans, people with disabilities, and domestic violence survivors, among others.

"The 12 organizations that receive one of these ROC grants are all serving vulnerable populations," said Senator Jeremy Cooney. "We're trying to fill the gaps here in Rochester so that our neighbors don't see any loss of services or service interruption during this uncertain time."
