FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — An assistant professor at the University of Arkansas's College of Engineering started developing a robotic gripper in 2020 and has since received help from other departments in hopes of building an autonomous system.
The project was initially developed by Anthony Gunderman while working toward his graduate degree in mechanical engineering at the U of A, as well as former U of A professor Dr. Yue Chen, and Jeremy Collins, who had been studying for his undergraduate degree at the time. The team collaborated with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture (UADA) for their research.
