The Summer I Turned Pretty fandom is getting ugly.
Amazon on Tuesday reminded fans to “keep the conversation kind this summer” ahead of Episode 8 of the Jenny Han adaptation, which began streaming on Prime Video Wednesday morning.
“The show isn’t real but the people playing the characters are,” the official The Summer I Turned Pretty account wrote on X, along with a video graphic that read: “The Summer We Started Acting Normal Online.”
The series previously warned fans about their “zero tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech” ahead of the Season 3 premiere in July. (The original message was then reposted on Tuesday on TSITP social accounts, along with the caption: “In case you forgot.”)
