An easyJet flight from Manchester Airport suddenly diverted on Wednesday evening (August 27) due to an onboard emergency.
The flight to Alicante jetted off shortly after 6pm before the pilot turned around over the English Channel just 30 minutes later.
The aircraft was later diverted and landed at London Gatwick airport.

The flight path, according to FlightRadar24, shows the aircraft travelling southwards over Birmingham and the south coast before looping over the English Channel.
In an update online, easyJet apologised for the disruption and said the diversion was carried out due to a passenger welfare issue on board.
