Former Steuben Co. Sheriff's Deputy pleads guilty to child porn charges

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WENY) -- A former Steuben County Sheriff's Deputy has pleaded guilty to federal child porn charges.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Stuart McHenry, 35, from Hornellsville pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars and a fine of up to $250,000.

Prosecutors say McHenry possessed digital images of child pornography. At least one of the files depicted children under the age of 12.

McHenry also uploaded 22 files of child porn to the messaging app Kik and messaged users to distribute the files to others. He also received child porn imagery from other users. Some of the videos and pictures found in McHenry's possession contained violent conduct and even depicted th
