NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A home health aide threatened her 78-year-old client with a knife and demanded thousands of dollars, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Wals announced on Wednesday.
The Bronx woman, Delores Anderson, 60, was employed as the victim's live-in home health aide, authorities said.
From December 2022 through August 2023, on multiple occasions, Anderson threatened the victim with a knife for money, court documents said.
In May 2023, the defendant stole property from the victim and coerced him into writing a personal check payable to her. Anderson was armed with a kitchen knife and told the victim she would harm him if he did not comply. She held him at knifepoint, and the victim wrote two checks for $4,082 each, according to court documents.
