In Apure state, flooding caused by rains is affecting the municipalities of Achaguas, Pedro Camejo, and Biruaca. The regional government maintains 200 shelters open to serve the 2500 affected families.

This was reported by the state's governor, Wilmer Rodríguez, who provided these figures at a press conference held on Wednesday, August 27. The regional leader also detailed that a section of the main highway connecting Biruaca with San Juan de Payara is flooded for four kilometers, with 4 centimeters of water on the asphalt.
