EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - After learning that Cierrah Beshear’s father, Brandon, would soon be put on a ventilator, she and her then-fiancé decided to hold their wedding as soon as possible - at his bedside in the ICU.

The Evansville newlyweds were married Wednesday morning.

“We decided to do it today, and get it done as soon as possible, so he could be there for it,” Cierrah said. “He can’t walk me down the aisle, but he can be there to see me get married. And that’s what matters to me the most.”

And to Cierrah, that’s what matters most.

That her father could see her as a bride.

“I had to do it today for him, for myself,” Cierrah said. “Selfishly, but I think he enjoyed it too. It’s definitely a heartfelt moment that I will forever remember.”
