EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A downtown arcade-bar in Evansville went dark in hopes of bringing light to many resident’s concerns.
Arcademie on North West 6th street hosted a blackout event to brainstorm solutions to the rate increases by CenterPoint Energy.
The event started at sunset.
The bar’s normal bright lights and arcade games were turned out in protest.
Representatives from the Sierra Club, the Citizens Action Coalition, and Solar United Neighbors talked to people in attendance about possible steps that can be taken to make their voices heard. Arcademie co-owner Carl Arnheiter says ‘E is for Enough’.
