FAYETTEVILLE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Judy and Michael Aiello were out to dinner when their apartment building went up in flames on Thursday, August 21.

Now they can't even get inside after their apartment was disintegrated. Police tape keeps them from getting close, so they can only imagine what's still left.

The fire was reported to dispatchers around 4:30 p.m. on August 21. Multiple fire crews battled the flames.

No one was injured in the fire, but precious belongings were lost by the people who lived there.

Judy Aiello can see some of the items from afar, like a red Christmas sleigh still up where her apartment unit was.

"I filled it full of Christmas presents for my granddaughter Bella," she said.

Her husband, Michael Aiello, left behind some mementos too, like the gift from his wife
