Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed and 17 others were injured in a mass shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
Authorities have not yet released a motive, but confirmed they are investigating the attack as a possible hate crime. The shooter reportedly opened fire indiscriminately at the front of Annunciation Catholic School during a morning Mass service, according to police.
The Catholic Diocese of Birmingham, which oversees nearly 40 churches and schools in North Alabama, responded to the tragedy on Tuesday.
