ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- KIPP Capital Region Public Schools celebrated the opening of its newly constructed high school in Albany on Wednesday. It will be the first co-ed charter high school in the city.
Starting in the fall, the school welcomes 400 students for the 2025-2026 school year. Officials said they have plans to grow to 800 students when they reach full capacity across grades 9 through 12.
The school is located off Northern Boulevard in Albany. It will officially open for classes on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
