MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- An overnight crash closed a portion of the I-87 between exits 11 and 12 in Malta. According to 511NY, all lanes were closed around 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday but reopened Thursday morning.

The Round Lake Fire Department shared they were responding to a serious motor vehicle crash with a possible entrapment. Around 5 a.m. Thursday, Assistant Chief Shaun Flynn said the department has cleared the incident.

According to troopers, the road has since reopened, but troopers remain on scene to investigate.

Drivers can expect slow or stopped traffic in the area.
