A dip in temperatures will offer relief from the heat to Southern California as parts of the region face the possibility of showers thanks to a tropical storm to the south.

“Because we’ve got the clouds around and a little bit of a tropical connection, temperatures will be a touch cooler,” said NBC4 Meteorologist Melissa Magee.

As Tropical Storm Juliette takes aim for Baja California in Mexico, the Southland will experience a brief break from the hot temps.
