Rain this morning has largely remained southwest of Springfield across the far southwest part of the state into Northwest Arkansas. Rain is expected to linger in these same areas for the rest of the morning before ending this afternoon.

Temperatures today will be very cool, especially in August. High temperatures will struggle to reach 70°. Skies will be mostly cloudy through the day with a light southeast breeze. Rain will slowly fade away in the afternoon from northwest to southeast.

Rain is long gone tonight (for those who see it), and we'll be dry tomorrow. We'll likely find a mostly cloudy sky on Friday, clearing in time for the holiday weekend. Temperatures will be mild in the upper 70s to low 80s Friday through Labor Day.
