WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Students at two catholic schools in Westfield get another day off before heading back into the classroom.

St. Mary's High School and St. Mary's Parish School are closed for the day, according to an announcement on social media. The closure is due to a water main break, resulting in flooding in the high school's basement.

This is also affecting St. Mary's Parish School, which has lost internet and telephone service.

The schools are scheduled to open to begin the new school year on Friday.
