Clear Lake's Central Gardens will celebrate its 25th anniversary -- and the hundreds of volunteers who have made it possible -- with a community event at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7.

Central Gardens has been established as a top attraction in North Iowa, welcoming more than 20,000 visitors annually. The urban sanctuary, at 800 Second Ave. N., was created to bring the community together "to celebrate, learn, and rest in the beauty of the Gardens." Central Gardens hosts over 70 annual events at no cost.

There will be live music from 4-6 p.m. by The Nonsemble, a group of amateur musicians from across North Iowa formed nearly 20 years ago by the late Jim Larson of Clear Lake. The group plays a variety of music from swing to pop to 1970s favorites.
