BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Our 15th hole of the Dream 18 is the 15th hole at Edgebrook in Brookings, a course I used to play a lot.

Tim Carlson, who holds the club record and works for the course, joined the Dream 18. I’d come to this hole and it was like Do I hit driver? It’s 280 par 4, but you can get yourself into a lot of trouble.

“You bet. Your pride wants to hit a driver because you want to make an eagle here. But you can make doubles and quadruples real easy so the smart play, unless you’re playing in a scramble, is I always hit a hybrid off the tee because I’m old now. So I usually hit a hybrid and sand wedge and hopefully make a 1-putt,” Carlson said.
