TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — After four years of construction, a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the final housing unit for the Alder Apartments opening.

“We’re really thrilled to just finally be here, it’s really a long time coming,” said Erin Anderson, the Housing Company Director.

The project had many sources of funding, including the city of Twin Falls.

According to Twin Falls Mayor Ruth Pierce, the city invested more than $1.7 million into the housing development and said the construction of the units helps with the housing situation in the area.

State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) were used as well.

“By wisely using SLFRF funds, we were able to invest in our community’s future, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive environment for all to call home,” Mayor Pierce said.
