SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- It takes dozens of performers, boat drivers and extra helping hands to put on a successful water show out at Catfish Bay. For founder Jim Bruns, the end of the season comes with mixed emotions.

"The last show is always a very happy, sad part of the year. I mean, it's been a great summer, a fantastic summer," said Jim Bruns, president and founder of Catfish Bay.

Catfish Bay had 15 shows planned this season, and only one was rained out.

"Attendance has been up. We see thousands of guests out here every year. So, it was a really great year," said Bruns.

When Bruns started the business over 30 years ago, his goal was to put on a family-oriented show, which is why his daughter was on water skis before she could walk.
