A poison plot GP who made an audacious plan murder his mum's partner will be facing a medical tribunal 10 months after he was jailed. Doctor Thomas Kwan's murder bid was described as a case "stranger than fiction" in court as the Ingleby Barwick man hatched a plot to murder his mum's partner Patrick O'Hara who he saw as an obstacle to receiving his inheritance should anything happen to her.
But the once-respected GP’s plan unravelled as police uncovered CCTV, chemicals and fake documents. In November, last year, the then 52-year-old was sentenced to 31 years and five months behind bars after disguising himself as a nurse and poisoning his mother’s partner with a fake Covid jab.
