VANDERBURGH CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Indiana Department of Transportation officials say there will be an overnight road closure for northbound U.S. 41 in Vanderburgh County.
According to a press release, beginning on Tuesday, crews will close northbound U.S. 41 in Evansville, just south of Lynch Road.
Officials say the closure will take place overnight, between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. It will allow for the repair of a railroad crossing on the northbound lanes of U.S. 41.
Work is expected to take one night to complete, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this project is State Road 62 to I-69 to State Road 57.
Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
INDOT officials urge drivers to slow down and stay alert in work zones.
