Caddo commission advances $10M pickleball park project to a final vote

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Caddo Parish Commission has voted to advance a proposed $10 million pickleball park project in south Shreveport. Commissioners voted 8-2, moving the plan closer to a final decision. The project calls for a 19-court complex to be built behind the Lash Family YMCA on East Flournoy Lucas Road. In addition to the courts, the plan includes amenities such as a walking trail, a clubhouse, and picnic pavilions. The project is a key part of the parish's efforts to expand recreational opportunities for residents. A final, formal vote on the project is scheduled to take place during a commission meeting on Thursday.
