MINNEAPOLIS — Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance visited Minneapolis Wednesday, exactly one week after a deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church .

The Vances boarded Air Force 2 in Washington D.C. around 9:15 a.m. CST, and landed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 11:30 a.m. A motorcade transported them to Annunciation School, where the Vice President and Mrs. Vance stood in front of a memorial and laid bouquets amid the numerous other flowers before walking to meet the families in private, away from cameras.

According to the vice president's staff, Jesse and Mollie Merkel and Mick and Jackie Moyski, the parents of the two children who were killed, Fletcher and Harper, respectively, joined Vice President Vance, as well as Annunciation Father Denis
