Police have confirmed they arrested a suspect in the murders of a woman and a boy found in their Hazel Park home on Monday.

They also identified the victims as Linda Hill, 41, and her son, Kardi Jackson, 12.

The suspect is a 43-year-old Redford Township man, Hazel Park officials said in a statement Wednesday.

Police, with the help of Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies, arrested the man at about 7 p.m. Tuesday at a home in Pontiac, they said. He is currently being held at the Hazel Park Police Department.

Investigators said they also recovered evidence linking the suspect to the two deaths.

Detectives are working to obtain an arrest warrant for the man, authorities said.
