ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. ( WALA ) - A Brewton woman was arrested after going to her ex-boyfriend’s home and pepper spraying him, according to court records.

Court documents said Brooklyn Burtram went to the victim’s home following a text conversation.

Upon her Burtram’s arrival, the victim opened his door before Burtram pepper sprayed him, according to court filings.

Court records state Burtram then hit the victim with an extension cord in the back of his head and back before leaving the residence.

Burtram is charged with criminal use of defensive spray and third-degree domestic violence, according to jail records.
