NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An Uber driver out of Memphis is facing charges this afternoon after Memphis Police said he pulled a gun on a passenger.
WSMV4 spoke with Uber drivers in Nashville who said that he isn’t the only one who carries.
State law allows permit-less handgun carry inside cars, but Uber’s company policy does not allow its drivers or passengers to have guns. That is not always followed.
On Labor Day, Memphis Police said an Uber driver got into a heated argument with his passenger. When they got to the destination, the driver was accused of getting out of his car, showing a gun, and threatening the passenger.
Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Just last year in North Nashville
