KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - For one community shelter in the east, Christmas came early this year, as residents were celebrated with a Christmas to remember in September event.

The event was hosted at The Friends of the Homeless Emergency Shelter, where Christmas songs, festive decorations, food and gifts filled the room.

“It definitely brought good energy,” Osha Davis, a former resident of the shelter said. “I could say the decorations, everything, yes Santa definitely came early this year.”
