This October, breast cancer awareness month, LifeServe Blood Center is encouraging individuals to schedule an appointment to donate blood and make a difference in the life of someone facing this diagnosis. Breast cancer affects one in eight women, and many patients undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and other treatments rely on blood transfusions to regain strength, boost their immune systems, and prevent excessive bleeding.
