With one-third of the college football season wrapped up, I wanted to take an early look back at my predictions for both the Iowa and Iowa State football teams that I posted back in late June and early July. I wanted to start with the Cyclones this week, because I think that amongst the two articles I wrote about each team, my prediction about Iowa State needed some immediate addressing.

As a sports writer myself, I enjoy when talking heads are held accountable for the things they say to a mass audience. It’s well worth going over what my thoughts were on the team before the season started, how those thoughts have changed, and most importantly, correcting the things that were just factually incorrect.
