The Waverly-Shell Rock volleyball team picked up a sweep against Charles City in their first home meet of the season. After the two teams played a close first half-set, the Go-Hawks found a stride that they were able to carry for the remainder of the match to pick up a win.
With the volleyball season having begun back in late August, most teams had played their home opener prior to the first week of September. The Go-Hawks, meanwhile, had to wait much longer to host their first home meet of the season due to complications caused by not playing in a conference. On Tuesday, September 23, however, the Go-Hawks finally got to play in front of their home crowd.
