MEMPHIS, Tenn. — St. Mary's Episcopal School is dedicating a new library named after the late Eliza Fletcher on Thursday, three years after her abduction.
The dedication ceremony will take place inside the newly expanded Moss Hall, where students will cut the ribbon and perform a special song to honor Fletcher's legacy.
Albert Throckmorton, Head of School, will be among those presenting at the ceremony.
"In working with her family we thought this was the most fitting tribute to her was to have a library with 10,000 books and stories for girls to read so that every girl leaves here like Liza and be able to a light in the community," he said.
