A Sterling Heights woman spotted driving the wrong way on Rochester Road recently was arrested and cited for drunk driving, officials said.
According to the Troy Police Department, officers pulled over the 50-year-old woman shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 29 after observing a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse headed northbound in the southbound lanes of traffic on Rochester Road near the I-75 off ramp. Officers suspected her of being intoxicated and administered sobriety evaluations which she reportedly performed poorly. A preliminary breath test measured her blood-alcohol content at .237%, police said, nearly triple the legal limit.
At the Troy Police Department’s lock-up facility ,a chemical breath test reportedly measured the woman’s BAC at .184%. She was cited for operating with a BAC of .17%
