Yesterday, we managed to get a handful of sprinkles in Springfield as we officially registered 0.04". Not much, but we'll have a chance for more tomorrow.

Another cold front is headed our way that will shake up the pattern once more. Clouds will start increasing by Friday morning, with rain chances ramping up by the midday hours.

Light and scattered rainfall will occur for areas mainly north of I-44 for the early afternoon before gradually shifting south as the day progresses.

Rain totals will leave you wanting more. Roughly a quarter inch is my estimate for the metro area, with localized pockets seeing heavier totals.

After the cold front moves through on Friday, the pattern really quiets down. Both days this weekend will be sunny with temperatures generally in the 70s.
