WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Friday night lights return in just over 24 hours. Athletes and fans across the state have been waiting for week one of the high school football season for nine long months.
The East Blue Aces bring back 16 starters, including eight seniors and a few juniors from last year. Princedakari Marshall will get his shot at quarterback. This will be his first year starting under center.
Now, Amaree and Duece Bohannon will make up some of the experience on both sides of the ball, with Amaree in the defensive backfield and Duece sliding in at the running back role. The team is pleased with its 7-4 record last year, but wants to advance past the third playoff game. With multiple guys returning from injuries, the crux of East's success in 2025 will be around its speed.
