PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - It has been a couple of rough nights for a Peoria church, as Waters of Life Fellowship Church in Peoria has been hit twice by a burglary and vandalism.

On Tuesday, Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins said suspects broke into the building and threw items inside, stealing five books that were titled “Jesus,” which were worth a total of $20.

Watkins said a day later, suspects broke a sliding door window with a chair to enter the church, but they didn’t take anything. That said, the incident caused more than $1,200 in damage.

At this time, Watkins said there are no suspects. He was also unable to confirm whether the two incidents are connected.
