NORMAN — As Sherrone Moore returns to Oklahoma on Saturday, Michigan football’s head man joins an inconspicuous but intriguing group in Sooner football history.

Moore will be the newest member in the fraternity of former OU players who became major college head coaches, then later faced their alma mater head to head.

Not that there’s any bad blood in this for the former OU offensive lineman (2006-07). During his press conference Monday, he shouted out current Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables and offensive analyst Kevin Wilson, who were the defensive and offensive coordinators, respectively, during his playing career.

Moore also paid homage to OU running backs coach DeMarco Murray and tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley, his teammates on the Bob
