LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday after inappropriately touching a girl on a bike trail in south Lincoln, police say.
Just after 3 p.m., officers responded to a disturabance near 40th Street and Faulkner Drive.
Police said Gavin Neverve, 25, approached a 12-year-old girl on a bike trial and inappropriately touched her.
The victim reported that an unknown woman stopped her vehicle and yelled at Neverve to get away.
Once he left, the woman walked the girl home, LPD said.
Neverve was later arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault of a child.
Investigators are looking to identify the good Samritan and interview her. Anyone with information is asked to call LPD’s special victims unit at 402-441-5964.
