PEORIA, Ill. – A West Peoria man has been arrested in connection to the robbery of a postal worker in July.

Peoria Police says 28-year-old Malachi Alexander was arrested on Thursday for Armed Robbery, and taken to the Peoria County Jail.

The incident occurred the afternoon of July 23rd in the area of Butler and Charlton.

That’s where a 62-year-old female victim told police that she was approached by a male who allegedly showed a handgun and stole personal property from her, then fled on foot.

The female was not injured.
