HAMLIN COUNTY, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about fraudulent FedEx texts that have been going around.

The texts are smishing messages, pretending to be FedEx to trick you into clicking a malicious link, revealing personal information, or paying fees to receive a non-existent package.

Watch out for unexpected texts asking for information or money, and do not click links in unsolicited messages.
