Another affordable housing market is coming to Calgary, with ground breaking Friday on a nearly 200-unit project in Haysboro, at the site of a former recreation centre.
City officials joined representatives from Liberty Housing Organization, Centre for Newcomers Calgary and other corporate partners to launch construction of Boro Block, a 196-unit below-market complex at 11 Haddon Road S.W., just off Heritage Drive.
