A thug has been jailed for life over the brutal murder of his mum's vulnerable boyfriend . Jack Naylor killed Thomas Gomm after being invited to a birthday party. ‌

Naylor had been asked to attend the bash - to celebrate his 22nd birthday - by his mother , Lyndsey Davidson. But once at the event he launched an attack which left Gomm fatally injured. ‌

The 44-year-old suffered traumatic head injuries and died in hospital two days after the December 15, 2024, party, at Davidson's home in Irlam, Greater Manchester . ‌

The Mirror reports his trial - at Minshull Street Crown Court - heard Naylor arrived at the bash at about and that Gomm was also in attendance.
