SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Three officers with the Shreveport Police Department have been arrested after they allegedly stole merchandise from a car that had been towed .
SPD says they were first made aware of the incident after KSLA was tipped off about the incident and started asking questions.
An investigation into the officers was launched, and Chief Wayne Smith immediately put the officers involved on administrative leave.

Police say the officers were initially called out to Sam’s Town Casino by a vehicle recovery agency. During the repossession process, the recovery agent noticed a large amount of items in the car.
