SCOTLAND COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) - Officials at the Scotland County School District have made major upgrades to school security over the last decade.
Over a decade ago, security at the Scotland County School District was much different than it currently is.
“When I started in Scotland County, you could access the building at any time,” District Superintendent Ryan Bergeson said.
Bergeson explained that over the last decade, modern improvements have been made to the entrance and exit routes at the school.
“The key fobs instead of the key cards have [developed] over the last 15 years,” he said.
