BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A 35-year-old woman accused of driving drunk in a deadly crash on Panama Lane made her first court appearance Friday.
Keiona Hyde had not guilty pleas entered on her behalf to three felony counts: gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and two counts of DUI causing injury.
Hyde, who was in a wheelchair, was ordered held on $760,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Sept. 17.
The crash happened at about 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 24 when a vehicle traveling west on Panama Lane collided with a vehicle headed south on Stine Road, police said.
Chasie Aquino Carino, 23, of Delano — a passenger in the southbound vehicle — was ejected, police said. She was declared dead at the scene.
