Mayor Eric Adams told reporters Friday he’s staying in the mayoral race.
His insistence follows reports that the Trump administration is considering Adams for an ambassadorship to Saudi Arabia in exchange for him dropping his reelection bid.
President Donald Trump has denied offering Adams the ambassadorship but says nothing would be wrong if he did. Trump has said he would like two candidates to drop out and that Cuomo has a shot at winning a one-on-one race.
Todd Shapiro, spokesperson for Mayor Eric Adams’ reelection campaign, joined “Inside City Hall” to discuss the mayor’s decision to stay in the race.
