This past week, many Coweta County residents received a flyer from Prologis, the company that wants to build a massive data center in a Rural Conservation area of the county.

They claim on the front of their flyer that “Coweta’s Brighter Future Starts Now.” Thank goodness for that. What kind of dark and dismal future would we poor, Southern bumpkins have had to face if not rescued by this “left coast” company from San Francisco?

I suppose that we would have muddled along in the dark ages, ignorant of all the blessings that could be achieved by letting a large California company come to our county and clear cut close to 800 acres of trees, use six to nine million gallons of water each day, and burn 900 megawatts of power 24 hours a day.
