Passionate snowboarder, loving dad and loyal friend. These were some of the heartfelt descriptors from many who gathered on Thursday to "celebrate the life" of Corey Sullivan on Mollymook Beach, 200 kilometres from Canberra.

The 51-year-old died, allegedly after a snowboarding accident in the Perisher Valley, on August 22, 2025.

The avid snowboarder from Ulladulla was one of three fatalities to snow sports in the snowy mountains in just 21 days.

A tradie by profession and a surfer cum snowboarder by passion, Mr Sullivan never missed the snow season in the mountains. He was "locked in" and ready to go.

It was in mid-2017 that surfer Sullivan from the South Coast met skiing and snowboarding trainer Lara D'Arcy.
