PORTAGE, MI — Chuck E. Cheese, 6175 S. Westnedge Ave., is closed after providing decades of family fun in Portage.

The chain is known for its arcade games, play zones and pizza.

“We know this news will disappoint many longtime guests, and we want to thank you sincerely for your support and loyalty throughout the decades,” the company said in a online.

Chuck E. Cheese sent a letter to members about the closure on Sunday, Sept. 7.

“While we are closing these doors today, we hope to return to the Portage community again in the future,” the company said in the email.

Portage location memberships have been canceled, per a Chuck E. Cheese press release, effective Sept. 8. Members will receive a prorated refund. Questions can be directed to funpass@chuckecheese.com .
